Yosemite Camping Trip Pics
I'll go ahead and put our pics up now that they have a home.
We stopped at various places to take pictures on the way in, so many of these are just random shots. We went in September, so it was nice, not too crowded, but the falls weren't too full, either. ![]() Of course the first look out at the Valley upon exiting the tunnel shot. ![]() Bridal Veil Falls. ![]() Bark is big here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had to show her the fireplace at the Ahwahnee (spelling) ![]() Hey, this looks like it'd make a great walking stick... ![]() The lower section of Yosemite Falls (see the tiny people?): ![]() |

The side view of Halfdome from Glacier Point.
![]() The best time to be at Glacier Point is for sunsets. ![]() The trees in the Grove are the largest in the world. For reference, I'm 6'6" tall. Or maybe only 5'9"...I forget. ![]() Here's one that had fallen over. ![]() Camping in the rain. ![]() The campsites in the valley have everything you need, including bear boxes. ![]() Don't forget to see the indian village museum in the valley as well. ![]() And the cemetery. ![]() To show how old these redwoods can be, they have this cross-section showing all the rings. The ring I was pointing to so close to the edge was the one that showed where the tree was during the revolutionary war, if I remember right. ![]() El Capitan is my favorite. ![]() If you want to see a hi-res version of this, make it full-size. ![]() |
