![]() I'm thinking of spur of the moment camping up near Running Springs this weekend. I see there are several yellow post sites (we can only go to those accessible with a car) and am wondering if heading up on a Saturday would be foolish. I've seen other posts on this site stating sites fill up by Friday night.
Any opinions? I'm looking at Keller Peak at the moment. Thanks! |

Well, looks like no campfires and the family can't camp without the magic of fire. Hmmm.

I camped at the Keller Peak yellow post sites years ago. They probably are full by Friday evening. I am not sure what the fire safety situation is in the San Bernardino Mountains. Southern California received very little rain this year and everybody who uses the public lands should be very careful with campfires and stoves.
