Camp Clock

I started making sun dials ten years ago. My cell phone would crap out and then I wouldn't know what time it was. I had a wind-up clock for a while but it died. My solution was and still is the camp sundial. This works best in the desert where trees don't obstruct the sun.

Take a flat rock, glue or stand a pointy-thing on it and mark the hours during your first day while your phone still has battery power. Use small pebbles or even a black marking pen. It works great.

This is my version 12-26-13 and it was my time keeper for five days in Clark Valley.
