Primitive Camping

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a hidden gem! I'd like to find a campsite that's "off griddy" and requires a 4x4 to get to. It would be really cool if there was a lake or stream nearby. I'm sure everyone is looking for something like this, but anything helps.

Holcomb area in Big Bear may be what you're looking for. Holcomb Creek runs through the area, but I don't really know the exact location. You can just camp at any yellow post spot from what I know. You can call and check the rangers by the Big Bear Discovery Center. Let us know if you happen to go.
