Weekend weather

It is not going to get better than this weekend. 75 degrees in Anza Borrego and pleasant everywhere in the desert.

Take advantage of the fact that it won't be raining or snowing this Saturday. http://www.calclim.dri.edu/rawslist.html

Weather is suppose to be perfect this weekend, all sun and no rain in the forecast. I've been taking the kids to the snow at Mt High, they seem to enjoy the snow.

Wind came up Friday night at about 8 and blew through Saturday night at about 10. But the Clark Valley looked spectacular. The wild flowers bloomed and the birds sang and the black-eared Jacks ran from the coyotes like spring had never been so good. And, I found a new species of harvestman.

The photo's are in order: View north, Parry Phacelia, Clark Valley harvestman, Desert Lily (2 photo's), Bigelow Cholla, Black-tailed Jack Rabbit, and Desert Agave. The Bigelow Cholla is also known as jumping cactus. If you get anywhere near the stuff it seems to jump out and stick a small round ball of thorns to you. I always have a leatherman with me so I can use the pliers to remove the stuff. After taking this photo, I got jumped.
