Need some help finding a group camping site for two to three nights for sometime this July or August. Looking to try to stay in the Big Sur/Santa Barbara/San Simeon areas - somewhere easy to drive to from Orange County, CA. A few of us will be traveling with children (ranging in age from 1.5 years to 10 years +) so we are hoping to not have to drive too far (we did Kings Canyon a couple times and the 6+ hour drive down the twisty roads was painful to some families with kids in the back). So we are hoping to find a campsite with flushable toliets (and showers? haha)and just a clean, nice area with plenty of recreation around us.
Any suggestions, pictures are greatly appreciated!!

San Simeon is probably easier on the driver than Big Sur, and closer too. The last 30 miles to Big Sur involves high elevation twisty, but very beautiful roads. We just got back from Big Sur a few weeks ago, it was beautiful. Both areas will need advance reservation, especially during summer, and plenty of restaurants within 3 miles. At San Simeon Creek, you're just a about 1/2 mile away from the beach and wetland. Big Sur is a lot more shaded with the Big Sur River next to your site.
