El Mirage dry lake bed

It's a popular place for movies and music videos. Terminator 2, Lethal Weapon, Knight Rider, and a few other movies were filmed here. I passed by on a trip and decided to stop by. It costs $15 for a 24-hour pass, $30 for a weekend, and $90 for a season. There are portable toilets around the dry lake bed and absolutely no water or shades.

Steep price, but probably it helps maintain the place. I am willing to toss a few bucks toward any organization including: State Parks, The Nature Conservancy, Wildlife Rescue, county parks, etc. if it can help maintain and save our open lands and the wild species that inhabit them.
