CA State Parks closing!?!?!

The wonderful governor of California wants to close down 48 of our State Parks, State Historic Parks, State Reserves and State Recreation Areas as well as remove life guard services from 16 state beaches.

Included in this list of closures are:
Topanga State Park
Will Rogers State Historic Park
Mount San Jacinto
Salton Sea
Montana de Oro
Santa Susana Pass
Just to name a few of the locals!!
In addition to closing the parks, they will then be put up for sale to developers.

I know a lot of you use the parks, and in particular Topanga and Will Rogers. If you use the parks system and you enjoy it as much as I do, you must act quickly. Schwarzenegger wants to usher this through with no oversight, and no hearings. Beginning to sound like his mentor.

California is in somewhat of a crisis because of budgetting issue. I hope it's only temporary.

If this is true, I am sorry to hear it. State parks are great for families and communities. It would be a shame to lose so many parks in such a beautiful state.
