We went to San Simeon Creak campground during winter and it was FREAKING COLD and windy! It was so cold, the battery in my camera stopped working so I was only able to snap a few pictures. I'm not sure when, but we're planning to go back there when it's a bit warmer and explore the area a bit more. This place is extremely popular during Spring and Summer. You have to reserve it several months in advance. There's no reservation during Winter, we found out why.

That looks nice! I have only been up through there either while working, or on the way to Laguna-Seca, but never stopped to camp. I know it's gotta be helaciously crowded in summertime. It can't be THAT cold in winter, can it?

Temperature was in the mid 40's, so it wasn't too bad. But the blasting wind made it almost unbearable.
