I've made reservation to stay there for 2 nights. It's suppose to be the highest water resevoir in the state of California, with great fishing and next to the Pacific Crest Trail (http://www.pcta.org/).

The Coleman NorthStar electric lantern and my 30-degree sleeping bag came in. I bought it from Walmart and picked it up at their store. I get to try them out this weekend. :D :D :D

I just got back, had a fun time. It was freaking COLD at night! The lantern performed perfectly as did the sleeping back. BTW, I can cook up a mean spicy boneless NY steak. Some pictures at in the Gallery, http://www.socalcampers.com/gallery/?album=2&gallery=17. I'll post up a review on the lantern and sleeping bags later.

Good call on those tent stake washers. On the rare occasions I bother to stake mine, that get problematic, and those look like it'd help!
No dogs?? :(
How was the facility otherwise?

It was actually a 6" nail + washer from Home Depot, will break through granite if you hit it hard enough. The typical tent stakes are just too wimpy and easily bent for me. The camping facility sucks, but the lake is beautiful.
