Magnifying trick

Here are two tricks for magnifying devices.

The first is the simplest. Take your thumb and index finger and, curling up your index finger and holding it with your thumb, form a really tight opening--about a sixteenth of an inch. Hold this up to your eye and look through it like a magnifying glass. It is a neat trick, but you need plenty of light.

The second is to take your binoculars and look through them backwards up close to something.

Either that or better drugs. Actually, I am old enough to have my lens harden which means I can't see stuff up close anymore. When you hit about 45, you'll know exactly what I mean. I'm the guy in the restaurant holding the bill up to his face with his finger curled up squinting at the total.
