Here are pics from my Redwood trip in June. We camped at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, north of Eureka. We also drove through the Avenue of the Giants on the way back, which had slightly smaller trees, but allowed you to drive where they were inches from the road.

These trees are MUCH bigger than the one we saw in Mariposa Grove. Hey Jesse, do you happen to have the directions and map(s) of the site and area?

This area has the tallest Redwoods- over 350 feet, and many of them. A lot of them are hollow from fires caused by lightning, but the tree is still alive.

Here's an exact map (http://www.parks.ca.gov/lat_long_map/default.asp?lvl_id=51) of where we stayed. I have a couple different trail maps of the area. It was the most fun I've ever had camping and will definitely go again several times, if not move up there. The cool thing is that you camp very close to the trees, so you only need to walk a minute or two to see the biggest ones. The tree our tent was next to was about 250 feet.
