Hi,
I'm new to this forum and thought I'd say hi. I like to go camping and hiking but lately, I'd rather get a condo in Mammoth and drink beers after a long day of hiking and glocking it up.

No, I'm 4XL.

I kinda got over camping when I was downhill mountain biking. We camped up in Mammoth and after riding all day, I just wanted a hot shower and a bed.

Although, I'd rather go backpacking than car camping. Car camping is for whimps. Might as well as stay in a holiday inn.

If I go with the wife, I usually pick one that has hot showers. Yes, they have hot showers at places if you know where to look. If I go with a few friends, then we don't worry about that much.

Just odd that you've been bitten by the camping bug so late into the season. Now, I'm starting to think about snowboarding.

I did one time go back country snowboarding at San Gorgonio. Made it up to 10K feet, but wouldn't dare go up any higher due to high avalanche conditions. No one told me to sleep w/ my water. It froze. After that trip, I thought, no more backpacking food. Next time, I'll do MRE's.

We should organize a trip to the Old Mojave Road. You can ride dirt bikes there for miles, I'll go as the support truck with all the supplies.

What's wrong with this year? It's cooler to ride in the desert around this time of the year. But the General forum is pretty much anything goes.
